Description
On Diwali night, in more homes than any other pairing in India, a lamp is lit in front of these two.
The reasoning has never needed explaining. Lakshmi brings what a family hopes for. Ganesh removes what is in the way of it arriving. Ask for one without the other and you have asked for half a blessing.
This set brings both together: the Laxmi Ganesh brass murti, cast on a single base and finished by hand by expert artisans, with the Chalisas that carry their stories, each printed in Hindi with the meaning in Hindi and again in English with the meaning in English.
The murti anchors the mandir. The books explain what is being anchored, in whichever language the person reading them thinks in. That combination is the whole idea behind Folktales Inc, and this is the set where it is easiest to see.
For a new home, a new shop, a Diwali list, or the family you want to send something to that will still be in the house in twenty years.
